I know I know, a long time since I have written. My life has been crazy. Steve and I have decided to take the kids and live overseas for a year. We are heading to Shanghai. Not sure of our departure date yet but will hopefully be there for the start of the new school year. September 1st. I will be working over there, singing and enjoying the Chinese culture. Steve is going to be the stay at home parent while we are there and is very excited to be able to stay home with Abi. The boys will go to the school where I will be working so the transition will be a little easier for them. We have friends over there and are so looking forward to this new chapter. I can't wait to get over and start writing some country songs again. Homesickness will probably spark a few and of course the kids. Unfortunately I won't be in Mildura we have to leave earlier than we thought. Thankyou to John Arnold and I am really sorry we won't be there. I also had to reschedule a show I was to do in Port Macquarie. I will do it when I come back though so keep an ear out. You will still be able to contact me on this email address and on my guestbook so stay in touch. I will try and keep my news more up to date when I get there.

Hey everyone, another Tamworth over. I can't believe it! What an awesome Tamworth it was too. As you know I only had  one show but it was great. I had the best time getting up on that Pub stage again. I watched the whole show and was so stoked to catch up with all my friends I hadn't seen since Mildura 2006. We took my friend (and hairdresser/stylist) Wendy Burgess. She was such a delight and made me up for every outing, it was very exciting to have her there. Thanks heaps Wendy. We stayed with the Crosbys again and had a ball. They always make us feel so welcome, thankyou guys. I was able to catch up with Nicky Gillis and see her support the Johnny Cash Tribute show. It was excellent. Of course Nicky singing 'Jackson' with Mike Carr was the highlight. After we left this show we toddled over to the Longyard to see my beautiful friend Tracey Lee supporting The Bushwackers. They were absolutely on fire. Holy Dooley, what a show. Dobe, Rog and the rest of the band went off. Anyone who was there would agree it was the best I have ever seen the Bushwackers, they are like a Good wine just get better with maturity (ok, age). I also caught up with the beautiful Katania from One Stop my distributors. She looked amazing and worked so hard over the festival, Thankyou so much Kat you are a legend. I had some friends up for awards, Duncan Toombes up for Director of a video clip, Amber Lawrence for Female and New Talent and Kirstie Lee Acres for New Talent and Female. I wished they all could've won but Kirstie did. She won a Golden Guitar!!!!! I saw her the following day in West's Carpark and congratulated her, I was jumping out of my skin with excitement for her. She is one grounded little lady I am so stoked for her and proud. Good on you honey. I just love Tamworth. When we were out the back of Wests there was a band playing and the lead singer said Us as artists love performing at Tamworth we spend January entertaining the 100,000 people that come to town then we spend the rest of the year looking for them. It is so true. The next Country performer that comes to your town, please get out and support them I know I will. I love love love it.

God Bless and stay safe

Happy New Year everyone. I hope you had an awesome Christmas with your families as did I. We headed to Cairns after Christmas and had a fabulous time with my husband's family. We went on a yacht and snorkelled on the Great Barrier Reef what an amazing country we live in. I can't believe Abi was actually born last year. She is doing so well and I am so in love. My girlfriend told me when she was born that I had just met my new best friend and she was right we are inseparable. So much so Abi is heading to her very first Country Music Festival. She has already come to a few gigs but this is where all the fans will get to meet our little treasure. I haven't written her a song yet but it will definitely have angel in it somewhere as did Jye and Beau's songs. If you are in Tamworth make sure you come and say hello and don't forget my only Tamworth show on Australia Day 26th January at the Pub for the RUM Showcase. God Bless and safe travelling everyone

Hello everyone, just letting you know that our beautiful little girl was born on 1st September at 7.15pm. Her name is Abi Kate Paterson. A little sister for Jye and Beau she was 7lb13oz and 49cm long. I am doing really well and can't stop looking at her. Steve tells me to stop hogging her so he can have a nurse. She has received heaps and heaps of beautiful gifts, cards and well wishes. We feel so blessed to have received the icing on our Paterson Clan Cake. Will endeavour to keep you updated.

Lots of Love and God Bless

I know, I know I have been extremely slack. I am so sorry to all those people who went to see me in Tamworth. I had to cancel all my gigs due to sickness. I hated missing Tamworth. Every time something came on TV I would watch in anticipation of seeing friends and how much fun everyone was having. I have a very good excuse though, Steve, Jye, Beau and I are expecting a new addition to our family. Our new baby is due on September 5th and we are all very excited. Beau thinks the baby will arrive next week and Jye is sick of people asking him if it will be a sister or brother, he says he honestly has no idea. In amongst this I have had pneumonia. I was putting all my symptoms down to just being pregnant but I had a blackout and realised there may have been a bit more to it. I am on the mend now though and managing to stay awake past 8pm at night. I have still been singing and loving it. I did the Australian Ironman and got to sing the Australian Anthem at the starting line. There were 1600 athletes bobbing up and down in the water, 8000 people lining the water line, I sang the anthem with no music, the cannon went off and the race started. It was one of the most exciting things I have ever done. I also went and saw Gina, Sara and Beccy in the Songbirds Tour on Saturday night here in Port Macquarie. They were fantastic. I hadn't seen Beccy before and she blew me away. She was hilarious. If they come to your neck of the woods make sure you get along to see them. Well I promise I will keep you more up to date. I have recorded after both my sons so hopefully after this baby another CD will be on its way. I am constantly writing and even if you don't here me singing my songs maybe you might hear someone else singing them.

We have a little rest now for ten days before we head to Tamworth for the festival. My dates are posted on my website and I am looking forward to catching up with all my friends. Please come and say hello if you get to my shows and safe travels.

Hello my lovelies. What a month it has been. I have had a ball. Travelling around the country singing and meeting so many wonderful new people and old friends. Mildura was fantastic. Photos have been posted to show you what I got up to. I had a great road trip with the beautiful Nicky Gillis she helped me drive and we had lots of coffee and dinner together over the festival. Nicky Sweeney was a wonderful host on the way down to Victoria, thanks for having me Nik. I am going to miss you heaps my beautiful. I had great shows in Mildura and worked with Australia's most amazing entertainers. We are all i the same boat waving that independent banner, and my goodness we are doing it well. Congratulations to Vic Bailey, Felicity and all the other winners at the awards. When I left Mildura we headed over to Adelaide, stayed in Glenelg for a few days, then headed home on the Great Ocean Road. Thankyou to all those fans for the offer of a place to stay. We ended up being ok and got to see some awesome Australian countryside. We would drive 100kms and be somewhere so different, from beautiful, lush, green rolling mountains to dry flat land. My heart goes out to the farmers that are doing it tough. If only we could work out a way to harness the water we get on the coast and other areas and get it to you. My prayers are with you all. When I arrived home I had a week and it was back in the car to do a show in Newcastle. It was awesome working with Joanne Lambert and her amazing band. Thanks to Chad, Pete, Lenny and Rod. You guys rock. Also to the sound man at Beresfield Bowling Club it was unreal. Well I best go I have to go and frock up for the 1233 ABC Music Awards in Newcastle. Very exciting, talk soon. God Bless.

Hey everyone, thanks for coming in to read the latest news. I have been very excited and honoured to be nominated for two awards. My EP has been named in the Top 5 of the Tasmania and NZ Country Music Awards and I am a finalist in the Newcastle ABC Music Awards. I loved living in the Hunter and it is awesome they are running this initiative for local artists. If you have time it would be great if you could vote for listeners choice for me. I am much better now after coming off my bike (over the handle bars). I am back at work at the gym and starting to run again which I have missed heaps. I am heading down to Mildura in a couple of weeks and am looking forward to catching up with other artists and fans I haven't seen for twelve months. My family are wonderful and will fly down to be with me in Mildura at the end of the week. My husband isn't really that happy as he will miss the NRL Grandfinal AGAIN. Well that is about all the news I have but if you want to keep in contact please email me at info@caroldonovan.com.au.

Hey everyone, sorry I have been so slack, no excuse, I have promised myself not to say 'I have been too busy' so I won't. My new single, 'OK' came out seven weeks ago and has been doing pretty well. I wish I could send it to every radio station. The response has been great and thankyou so much to all the wonderful DJs who have been giving it a spin. If you get a chance please request it on radio. There just seems to be so much great music around Djs will play it more if listeners ask for it. I am heading off on a string of shows on the 19th July and am recording in Sydney also. Very exciting, I haven't been in the studio for ages and I can't wait. If you get a chance to get to any of the shows make sure you come and say hi. The Grand Finalist for the Golden Saddle Awards have been announced and it seems I have missed out again. Never mind, I was a little disappointed but my beautiful friends Sweeney Killeen got in and so did the gorgeous Amber Lawrence and fellow studio recording artist Karen Lynne. (At least we know a girl is going to win). Congratulations to all the girls. If you can get to that grand final at Galston in September you will be treated to a great show. I am also going to Mildura in September for the Country Music Festival and I will be doing Sam Smyth's show in Kempsey and a show with the very cool Martin Oakes so I will keep you all posted. Please leave messages on the Guestbook and you can email me anytime. Love to hear from you.

Take care and God Bless

Hey there, well what a couple of months it has been. Heaps has happened and I have had a ball. In February I had some much needed writing time. It was unreal I was so inspired after Tamworth, as I am every year but  just wrote and wrote and wrote. It is good therapy for me and I felt refreshed. I then had the Central Coast Country Music Festival. I worked with some awesome musos and caught up with lots of great friends. Thankyou to Cathy Treasure and all the organisers I had a ball. On the 18th March I joined Sam Smyth and some very talented bush balladeers and poets to put on a show in Kempsey. It was unreal. If ever you have the opportunity to go to one of Sam's shows make sure you go. The poets are so funny and if you are lucky some of the singers will tell you a few yarns too. In March I was contacted to sing for the Australian Ironman Competition. I wrote a song for it and the head of the marketing and promotions company asked that I sing the song at the opening dinner. I got to perform for the 2000 people with Keiran Perkins and Daniel McPherson. Keiran was so motivating. He spoke to all the athletes and I sat with tears in my eyes watching footage of him winning his gold medal when he broke the 15 minutes for the 1500m. He was so inspiring and I was honoured to be on the same bill. When I arrived home I had a message from Helen Kay from the Golden Saddle Awards. I called her back and she informed me that I have been selected as a finalist for the 2006 Golden Saddle Award. Thankyou to the judges who nominated me and I hope to perform for the festival in September. The weekend just gone I drove to Sydney to sing my winning finale song for the Christian Rock Eisteddfod. The kids were amazing. They were all so talented and their interpretation of Joseph's life was excellent. You can see a photo of myself and Christine Leaves (El Pez Productions & Management Pty Ltd) after I had been presented with my prize. I was treated so well so thankyou to all those backstage runners who took care of me. If you can get your hands on a Challenge Newspaper I have been featured this month on the FRONT PAGE (first time ever). Thankyou to the editor for the wonderful story and sharing my testimony. The next few months has a lot in store. Especially with the release of my new single, 'OK'. It is out today and you can still get my CD from any store through One Stop Entertainment and Hardrush Music. My gigs will be posted for you to check out. I have quite a few radio interviews coming up so please keep an ear out. Thanks for your support and don't forget to sign my guestbook.

God Bless

Wow what a Tamworth! I had a ball. Met up with heaps of friends and sang lots of country music. Thankyou so much to Julie, Clay, Jarrod, Kayla and Anna Crosby for having us, you were ever accommodating as always we love you guys. I'm so thankful to all the fans who came to my shows and people who bought my CD.

My time started with an interview with John Nutting on Saturday Night Country. I got to meet up with Jetty Road and Adam Harvey and talk to John Nutting and John Farcus it was unreal. I laughed a lot and gave them a lesson in Mandarin Chinese.

The following day was my show with Carter and Carter and Stuie and Camille. How good was that? I must say those two duos are unbelievable performers and I was honoured to be on the same stage as them.

The following days saw shows with Felicity Urquhart, Dale Duncan (raising funds for families who had lost loved ones in Truck accidents), Paul Costa, Sweeney Killeen, Michael Fix, Michael Bryers, Sovereign, Cat Southern (congrats on StarMaker), Jodie and Kellie Crosby, Steve Gibson and many more. Oh yeah and I got a kiss from John Elliott.

On Friday night I sang at the RUM showcase at The Pub. I was so blessed to have Stixy, Robbie Brown and Chris Staff come and play for me. They were so unreal and I was so pumped to have them behind me. They are awesome musicians and I can't wait to work with them again.

I went to the Mike Carr songwriting workshop which was run by APRA. Mike was so inspiring as he talked about his time overseas and different things we need to do as writers to refine our songs. The workshop was very informative and I got to meet him at the end, what a writer he is.

By this stage I must say I didn't want to leave Tamworth, but on Saturday it only got better I was in the calvacade aboard the Melville Winery Float, (thanks for the wine guys) and Saturday night on the red carpet with my mate Darren Colston. I was walking on air all night, it was fantastic.

It was great to see Daz, Stuie and Camille, Peter Pratt and Paul Costa win TIARAs and Sweeney Killeen also receiving a finalist berth in New Talent for The Golden Guitars, we partied on a little too hard but am catching up on some sleep now. I got to see the beautiful Samantha McClymont and Sara Storer win their Golden guitars. I am still on a high. Hopefully one day I will be up there too.

I got to see BELLA, the beautiful Kate, Lynnie and Karen and go to the Bluegrass All Star Show. Karen Lynne launched her new album there and she was unreal don't miss purchasing her album, produced by Herm Kovac and Rod McCormack.

Well it's over for another year but I can't wait to go back. I will be touring this year and will keep you posted with dates. Take care and please keep in contact.

Till Next month stay safe and God Bless

Love Carol xx

I have signed a deal with Hardrush music. They are a company from Canberra and are keen to help me promote my music. I am really excited at the prospect of working with Kelvin Fahey and his team and am looking forward to recording an album later on in the year.

I have also been named a finalist in the Professional Development Awards with APRA. The prize includes a funding grant to travel overseas and write with the best in the industry. The winner is announced on the 27th March. Keep praying I get it.
